CertificationCosts.com is an independent resource for US organizations weighing up ISO certification. We explain what each standard is, how the process works, and roughly what it costs — before you ever pick up the phone to a certification body.
How we estimate the ranges
Every calculator is built from the same foundation: typical US consultant and auditor day rates, audit lengths that scale with company size, and an adjustment for how complex each standard is to audit. From those, we compute a low scenario and a high scenario:
- The low end assumes a lean, mostly in-house build with a shorter audit.
- The high end assumes more consultant help, higher rates, and a longer audit.
Your real cost will land somewhere inside that range, depending on choices only you can make. That is exactly why we show a range instead of pretending to know a single number.

We are not the International Organization for Standardization, and we are not a certification body. We do not issue certificates or sell audits. Our figures are planning estimates, not quotes.
When you are ready to certify, get formal quotes from two or three ANAB-accredited certification bodies and compare them against the range you found here.
Keeping it current
Day rates and audit practices shift over time. The figures are reviewed against typical US market rates, but always treat them as a starting point for your own budgeting rather than a fixed promise.
